The speed knowledge of vinyl records
1. Common speed classifications: 33⅓ RPM: The most common LP (Long Play) record, capable of playing approximately 20-30 minutes on one side, suitable for complete album collections. 45 RPM: Single records (Single), capable of playing for about 3-5 minutes on one side, with better sound quality, often used for singles or selected tracks. 78 RPM: Early coarse-grain records, with a brittle material, capable of playing for only 3-5 minutes on one side, now rare, mainly used for retro collections. 2. Relationship between speed and sound quality: The higher the speed, the greater the amount of groove information per unit time, and the better the theoretical sound quality (45 RPM > 33⅓ RPM > 78 RPM), but the playback duration is correspondingly shortened.
